JiHyeon was born in Seoul, South Korea, where she lives with her husband. She works as an illustrator and picture book author. She studied Media Art at the Kaywon School of Art & Design, and illustration at HILLS (Hankuk illustration School). Her first picture book 'POOL' was published in English, Spanish, Korean, French, Italian and Swedish. 'POOL' was awarded a Gold Medal for Original Art 2015 by the Society of Illustrators in U.S.A.
