About the artist
Shuku Nishi is an illustrator and a painter based in Kyoto, Japan.
Her illustrations have been featured in many media such as books, advertisements, TV commercials, CD covers and on packages. Taking inspiration from nature, she also creates block prints, oil paintings and three-dimensional works. Her work has a poetic quality and celebrates the beauty of simplicity.
